It looks like we might not get a round the world ticket after all. We will have to see, when they actually get round to releasing the prices for next year.
But, I have been doing some pricings for some individual flights and I think we could do exactly what we wanted for abour £1,500 including taxes. This may well end up being a bit more expensive than a RTW but it means we can do exactly what we want – like go see Karen in Qatar.
This is all because Qatar Airways do a flight London – Doha – Nairobi for £323 incl. which is extraordinarily good.
I got a price from Singapore airlines for Capetown – Singapore – Auckland for £380
which means we just need to get home via a pacific island for less than £800 and we are laughing 
)
I have also been looking on air asia’s site and they have some rediculous prices – eg. Bankkok – Kota Kinobalu £25rtn and KK to Manila for £10rtn. That is just rediculous.
